On a daily basis, our Unregulated Care Provider will enhance the effective medical administration, Stakeholders Management and Risk Management factors to maintain exceptional quality of practice in keeping with the standards and expectations set out by governing bodies and internal policies and standards of care.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service in terms of medication to our residents by coordinating with various stakeholders including physicians, pharmacists ensuring a safe organized environment.
  • Assist with documents management, and ensure treatments are going on as per Medication Administration Record (MAR).
  • Ensure successful completion of the initial and annual medication administration training and sign off by the director of care.
  • Troubleshoot and solve any problem related to the home or resident by collaborating with the resident service manager.
  • Check stocks of all the drugs, order for new required stocks, make data entry and store all the narcotics keys at the safe place.
  • Assist with emergency procedures of the home, Enrollment – Discharge process of the residents and check all the requirements of the Occupational health and safety procedures.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate Degree or Diploma related to the Occupational Health and Safety, Public health, or relevant studies.
  • One year or more experience working as a Unregulated Care Provider in the Long-term care home or Hospital Setting would be considered as an asset.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team, to prioritize tasks in order of urgency.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and comprehension skills.
  • Developed creative problem-solving skills to look at the “big picture”.
  • Must be physically strong and will be able to lift up to 50 Lbs.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not mandatory.
