Position: Accounts Payable Lead

Southbridge Health Care LP (Southbridge) is currently looking to add a talented Accounts Payable Lead to our amazing corporate finance team at our head office in Cambridge, ON. Reporting to the Controller, the Supervisor will help build, lead, and mentor a team of accounts payable individuals responsible for the cash management of Long-Term Care and Retirement homes. The Manager will be involved at various depths with accounts payable, remittances, compliance, and audit support.

Responsibilities:
- On an ongoing basis oversee the accounts payable and support office managers and Executive Directors where needed.
- This includes overseeing current billing, monitoring monthly performance metrics as they relate to payables, guiding key team members to meet goals, and ensure timely proper reporting to the corporate reporting team.
- Perform monthly closing activities for the AP function.
- Oversee cheque runs and EFT payments.
- Support the development of policies and procedures for the department.
- Work with operations to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
- Prepare AP reporting packages for management.
- Assist with audit requests.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable role.
- Proven supervisory experience is preferred.
- Post-secondary in areas of business, accounting or related field considered and asset.
- Experience with Sage Intacct is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office.
- An in-depth understanding of the senior care continuum is considered an asset.
- An analytical mind and good math skills.
- Outstanding communication skills (written and oral).
- Organizational and leadership skills.
- Professional certification (e.g. CAPP) is a plus.
